Our Methodology
There is a special joy in living in a home of your own design. At J.R. Scatliffe Consulting, that joy begins with the planning; and the planning begins with us. We follow the basic planning principle of Plan, Design, and then Build. With this philosophy, we will provide you with all the information and inspiration you will need to create the home of your dreams.
The steps below is the process that you will follow in order to work with us to achieve your project goals.
STEP 1: Consultation
Contact us through the Web site to state your request for a service. After your request is received, our first meeting will be conducted through e-mail correspondence (We can also arrange for overseas meetings in the USA or Canada, only if it is necessary). From this meeting, we would have discussed your specific needs and goals. This step is an information gathering process which involves understanding your specific requirements and estimating your project’s scope of work. If you are working with an international architect or designer, or you have sketched drawings on paper or a concept on the computer yourself, you can let us know and we will be able to help you, whatever the case.
STEP 2: Preliminary Project Budget
Based on the outcome of our first consultation meeting, we will prepare a preliminary project budget that defines the services that are required, scope of design work, estimated budget and project schedule. The preliminary project budget will be revised until all parties are satisfied with the intended deliverables. An agreement is established once the project budget is endorsed by both parties.
STEP 3: Commission Project
Once the scope of work and project budget is acceptable to you, we begin performing the work required for the project through different phases. Once we actually start your project, one of the most important aspects of the project will be ongoing communication. You will be actively involved in the planning and design development phases of the project to final planning approval, and construction.
STEP 4: Project Completion
The project is deemed completed when you are satisfied with the required finished product and services.
